Well, my Belegarth cherry has officially been popped. After being away from a padded sword for a few years (during the late Shogun--may it rest in peace), it felt good to get back into action. Our unit, the House of Einherjar, made a showing three strong, and we had a skirmishtacular time on the battlefield. My sword and shield work was sloppy at best, but through practice, I hope to regain my edge soon enough.

Belegarth Rule #1: Don't power-drink until 4:00 am the night before the fighting.

Special thanks goes to Clan of the Hydra for being incredibly hospitable and approchable, House Dregoth for allowing us the use of their enchanted light-conjuring device (without which we would have been doomed to set up camp in the dark), and Lady Feri (sp?) for dispensing helpful information and assorted foodstuffs throughout the event--your chicken sandwiches are practically orgasmic, and I have the stains on my garb pants to prove it.

Our numbers are already on the grow, and a couple of us are planning to make Melcaorme (Beltaine's just too far and too soon, unfortunately), so we hope to see some of the same faces there and meet some new people to boot. Here's to the growth of the House of Einherjar, and, with luck, the beginning of good relations with the other units in the Midwest.

Things still need to be worked out and decided, but a solid foundation and dream have been set in place for the beginning of a wonderful group. It has been too long since a good battle.  School must die for this treachery of keeping me from all my Belegarth bretheren.  Soon, SOON I will be able to go to battle, fight, and die with glory.  Most likely, I will make it to Armageddeon and LIVE again!! Today I started foam fighting. A friend of mine told me about it and it seem fun. I came with my sister and two of her friends and we had a blast. I'm still deciding on what I like and I am starting to like the blue and green level swords with a sheild and archery. My friend told of this site and it looks really cool so I joined it. I plan to make my own sword and shield and join a relam.....onceI am old enough to drive......

Tis a defeat and a hurdle the lose of lands from Thunder-Guard, we have suffered set back but this will not hinder our maintaining forward movement. The warm air gently caressing my face, the sun now in the sky longer and the frozen earth softens . Newly acquired lands of Thunder-Guard are about to begin the birth of a great place, a place of wonder and safety as long as peace can be kept between The carians and the order, this is fragile at best at the moment, sure to lead to strife and battle, Our ranks swell and soon will know once againthe clash of sword and shield , mace and axe.

The world around us is soon to come to life again , the new order will take its place. I feel the burning of excitment and anticipation. We have new armor, and weapons are en route, caravans of supplies and those making long pilgrammages to aid the Order arrive daily. The wind blows warmer now and the smell of war fills its breath.

There is still much to do however over this bitter seasonof winter we have made much progress, the gods bless use with that which we need and we are recieving in ample abundance.

Once again thanks to all the guys who have been helping out with the Belegarth site. Retirement will be nice. Stepping off the block has been good for me. I have had the chance to develop my Facebook application, which I am releasing Friday to the public. And I have had a chance to rethink old idea's and start to build a new direction towards what I think will be a betterment for Belegarth, and for my own sword fighitng skill.

My wife and I ahve come to the conclusion that it would probably be best for us to sell our new home in Wadsworth Ohio and make the move 40 miles north to Cleveland where I work every day. Which may prove interesting. I have to talk it over with the Rausumeans (not yet really) but it looks as I will be retiring from my possition in war council if that move happens. Luckily Rausumea has started to organize in a more Civil and democratic state so I don't leave too big a power vacume if I leave any at all. It will give me a chance to maybe join a new group or an old one, that I can help grow and develop. I wonder what exactly is going on with the old Pentwyvern crew, and if they would accept me (back) into their fold.

Okay, some of you might think, "what is she talking about"?  Well, when I was home for spring break my mom took me grocery shopping (for me of course).  She has always been curious about my sword fighting with belegarth so I talked about Oktoberfest '07 and how me and my friends have a type of bartering system.  So when we got to Woodmen's (a grocery store in Kenosha, WI), she took me into the liquor section first (for some odd reason).  We first looked for a beer called Imperial that is made in Costa Rica (it is really good, especially when you're surrounded by Costa Rican guys).  Unfortunately we didn't find it.  However, my mom found plum wine made in Japan, apple wine, and Everclear.  My mom remembered about the bartering system that I have with friends, so she took the bottle of everclear from the shelf and put it into the cart.  I was so surprised and asked her why she was going to buy it and she responded, "Well you're going to need to stock up on alcohol for your bartering system for the next event".  I almost choked on my gum.  She was buying booze for me for a sword fighting event she has never really understood.  Man, I love my mom sooo much for that.  Plus, she also gave me the apple wine and another wine that was at home (it is called Hallowine, she got it at the Piasa winery last year).  I can't wait for the next event to open up the Everclear and start experimenting to create a new drink.

Also, I'm planning on bringing along alot more Anal Sex drink.  So, Fayla and Taverline, keep experimenting for new drinks to add to the Belegarth Brewing Co. (hopefully we could have a type of business like that).  If anyone has any drinks they want to add to the list, just message me or Taverline (i don't think Fayla has a fighting page).
