The BMCS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Report was created by the Board of Directors and a diverse group of volunteers with the goal of providing recommendations for increasing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility throughout the Belegarth community. These recommendations are written with realm leaders and event coordinators in mind, although all Belegrim may find the information provided helpful in creating a culture of inclusivity. With the knowledge that some groups are more susceptible to exclusion, discrimination, harm, or harassment, this report is intended to recognize areas where improvements can be made.

The BMCS DEI Report also includes relevant data from the 2022 Belegarth Community Improvement Survey. The purpose of the CI Survey was to gain a deeper understanding of the experiences of Belegrim from different cultural and regional backgrounds. In addition to some demographic questions about participants – such as their general location, age, and years involved with Belegarth – survey participants were presented with ranked choice questions about their experiences both in their local realms and at Belegarth events. The data provided valuable insight into different people’s experiences with Belegarth.

The de-identified data from the 2022 Belegarth Community Improvement Survey is publicly available. To request a copy of the survey data (in Excel format), please see the instructions in Appendix B on page 22 of the report.
